I’ve put my Stax SR-001 MKII headphones on ebay. They’re up for grabs. Good luck!

Another ebay bid goes for more than the retail. I just don’t understand peoples willingness to pay over the odds.
Please, please, please do a little bit of homework before you spend your money. Fortunately, we’re not talking about a huge amount of money, but there again, why pay more than you have to? Just click this Sennheiser HD414 ear pads link and stop paying over the odds…..please!
Audio Technica ATH-RE3 price deal
There are a few headphones that still have the retro look. Grado, Koss, Audio Technica…….. hang on Audio Technica?? Of course Audio Technica isn’t a name that springs to mind when talking about retro design headphones, but AT do have some on the market in case you didn’t know.
Not only do the Audio Technica ATH-RE3 headphones look cool (they also come in black), but there’s an 20% discount offer at the moment and depending on where you live, the shipping is free. I’m thinking of getting my hands on a pair, but I suspect they use the same drivers as the popular ATH-ON3 headphones.
Audio Technica ATH-RE1 Price deal
Better still the Audio Technica retro range, come in an earphone form as well. Called the ATH-RE1 earphones, they also come in either black or white, and they to have the same 20% discount deal as well. But my money is on the ATH-RE3 headphones!
Some notes on the effect the FiiO E3 amp has on different headphones: AKG-K240 Studio with Sweetcome cable, OVC HC1000, Denon AH-D1000. The FiiO E3 mini-amp costs less than $10, and is certainly worth the money. Anyone owning a portable player without an amp should get one.

The FiiO E3 also has a great synergy with the OVC HC1000 headphones. OVC HC1000 cost $49 (plus $5 or $10 shipping) from Head-Direct, and are perhaps the first “portable” headphones that can compete not only with the likes of Sennheiser PX100/PX200, but also with more expensive gear. HC1000 and the FiiO E3 amp paired are at least as good (at the same, if not better, level of clarity/detail/dynamics, though slightly less bassy) as the Denon AH-D1000, worth $120-170 (depending on store). Less than $75 of headphone gear performing as well as a set of headphones worth two to three times as much.
Yes, the iGrado’s are neckband headphones, but don’t let that shadow the FACT that these will slaughter the competition. The headphones on offer have no packaging, but don’t worry because your not missing out. The packet is a vacuum pack thing with a nice shiny piece of card with ‘iGrado’ written on it basically.
You’ll miss out on the packaging, big deal!
All that money has been poured into the sound, and you’ll know it when your hear them.
O.K. Click the image and enjoy

I want to warn everyone in the UK that if no one has bought these Shure SE110 earphones by Tuesday Lunchtime, that I’m going to buy them for myself. I’ve never tried a pair of Shure earphones, and by the description, they are in prefect working order. So I’m planning to snap them up.
So Grab them or miss out. They are a very popular line, but as I’ve never heard a pair, I can’t tell you how good they sound….that might change! Just don’t tell Mrs headphonedeals!
Bar the fact that I found the Sony MDR XD200 headphones to be pretty awful, it doesn’t stop people from wanting them, so here they are. The build quality…. was shocking to say the least, the sound was even worse and that ‘movies’ and ‘music’ switch was a bit of a poor attempt at a gimmick. Yes it does change the bass, but it’s hardly a night and day difference.
You’ll be better off with the Sennheiser HD202, that’s where my money would go. There’s not much in it price wise, but sound wise, the Sennheiser HD 202 headphones would be better. Skip the HD201’s, they’re as bad as the Sony’s. Get the HD202’s.
Graham Slee Voyager Portable headphone amp going for £150. This is the baby of the bunch, with a massive amount of…… kick for the money. Well, its Graham Slee, what else would you expect?

To put things in perspective, my searches have found that the cheapest Graham Slee amp is £179/$350, so when there’s one up for bid on EBay, it’s time to get the credit card ready. The Solo retails at 924.90 USD/475.00 GB. , but not on an EBay bid…..hopefully!
